I don’t know what most of your were doing for New Years Eve but I was at my favourite restaurant at Taste on Surin beach having a great time. Especially when we walked down to the beach to celebrate NYE.

I have been in Phuket for around 8 years and normally spend my time in Surin or close by for NY, but this is definitely the first time that Surin has looked so drastically different.  Now, I do not have much knowledge of boats/yachts./super yachts, but I counted 22 boats/yachts/super yachts that were parked in the bay around Amanpuri and Catch beach club.  For sure, I have not seen this many in my years here.  Coupled with all the new beach clubs Catch, Bongo, Bimi, Diamond, Zazada, Pearl of Surin and of course Taste restaurant and you can see how times are changing.  What a site it was with the boats, floating lanterns, Fireworks, beach clubs and loads of happy people enjoying the variety.

Only yesterday dear we here that Indian Billionaire Ashok  Jaipuria has purchased a villa at Malaiwana, and for sure he is not the first billionaire to purchase property on the island.

Now I know my Fiancé is getting pretty tired of me saying so, but Phuket is changing and changing for the better and it is exciting. There is lots of buying and selling on the island and you can definitely feel an uplift in momentum. Villa Market has now opened in Laguna and Rumours of Central parking them selves next door is also very positive.

Rentals in the villas are rising and this will also lead to more sales. We have more to do and more places to go and quite frankly it is about time. With the super yachts and billionaire buyers it is becoming a place to be seen, if it was not already.
