To top it off, the dealer wants the full price.  The outcome? Buyer is not buying and the seller is not selling.

This scenario applies to property in Phuket.  Phuket is a holiday destination; it’s a second or third home.  It’s a luxury afforded to those who have dreamt of escaping the cold and indulging in Christmas’s and Easters by the pool in a tropical climate and definitely not a necessity.  Potential buyers have pre-conceived visions of their dream ocean front villa.  With the steady stream of agent emails displaying properties with panoramic sunsets it is no wonder the idyllic image they have conjured.  Having anticipated the trip to the island it is not surprising that some villas can fall short.  This is especially accurate for re-sales.  It is no wonder that it is easier to sell off-plan property.  Off-plan developments build a dream and paint the picture.  Re-sale property market offers the reality of property that has not been used for sometime.

When listing properties you will find a lot more interest and offers when it is presented, as you would expect from a Ferrari showroom.   Buyers want to walk in the door and be blown away by the beauty. This is supposed to be the house of their dreams, and not something they can pass on.
