Surin Beach Phuket
Surin Beach Phuket is about 20 minutes away from Phuket Airport and lies along Phuket’s west coast between the popular beaches of Kamala and Bang Tao.
Surin Beach is one of Phuket’s most coveted destinations for sun-seekers, with its 800 metres of white sand
It’s scenic with pale blue water, soft off-white sand and not too many people. There are green trees lining the backdrop which gives ample shade for those not wanting to be in the direct sun.
The waters off Surin Beach, like the other beaches on the western coast of Phuket are crystal clear in the cool and calm season from November through until April or May. During the monsoon season from May through until October, it can be quite rough and dangerous for swimmers, but it can lead to ideal conditions for surfing, and then you’ll find locals and visitors out there enjoying the waves.
Surfing at Surin Beach is best at the southern or northern headlands, it is best to avoid the middle as there are some rocks that you will only see during low tide. You can rent surfboards and boggie boards from the surf shop which is located on the main road.
