If you are staying at Nai Harn beach you may be looking for a more relaxing and local experience. The Sea Gypsies Fish Market in Rawai Beach is only 10 minutes away and it is a must do. A market on one side of the road and restaurants on the other side, you pick your fresh seafood from whomever you like best and then whichever restaurant you like cooks it for you. Best times to visit Nai Harn beach is during high season, (November – April) yet it can get a little busy during peak season, (December – January). The waters are calm and clear and the beach is white and soft, a great time to go paddling boarding, snorkeling or lazing out on the sand soaking up the sun. During low season (May – October) as with all Phuket beaches, the bay can become and little rough, which means no swimming, but the surfing can be surprisingly good.
